1986 Drivability Problems...a continuing saga.....SOLVED (REALLY) 200

PROBLEM FINALLY SOLVED!!!!!!!

While replacing the intank fuel pump today I discovered that someone had fitted a short piece of fuel hose between the metal pipe and intank pump and that this had become badly kinked&bent and was restricting the fuel supply. I had ordered the correct replacement accordion hose and when this was fitted the car runs GREAT!

What a major relief. Thanks to all for all the help.

Cliff

p.s...also did the circuit board jumper and now the temp gauge works as well. it was a good day.

While old cars like our Bricks can be a real source of frustration when the gremlins strike, there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of tracking down and solving a tough problem, turning your own wrenches. Great feeling, ain't it?

It takes persistence doesn't it?

congratulations and enjoy the ride... now when mine starts giving me problems I'll check the fuel line from the pump!
