My little girl is moving far enough away that Daddy-the-Mechanic will no longer be able to care for her nice '90 240. Can anyone recommend a competent and HONEST independent Volvo shop anywhere convenient to Concord, NH?

I live in Bow, two miles south of Concord. I use Automeister on Route 4 in Nottingham. It is about 22 miles east, but I have used them for the last five years and like them. For about five years before that, I used Gary Rondeau's Automotive in Hooksett, right off Exit 9 on Route 93, probably 15 miles south. I switched only because I moved to Portsmouth and Automeister was on the drive between my home there and my work in Concord. But I continue to use them now that I live near Concord again.

There are several independent shops in Concord that do a lot of Volvo work. Don's Swedish Imports is on Toute 3A in Bow, Garry's Service Center is on South Main Street in Concord, and JB Automotive Service Center is on Old Suncook Road in Concord. I have never used any of these. One of my friends in Concord stopped using Gary Rondeau's Automotive in Hooksett after several years because he did not think it was necessary to drive 15 miles to get his car serviced. He used Garry's Service Center in Concord for a couple of years and then realized Rondeau's Automotive was worth the drive and switched back. He bought his used Volvo from Rondeau and his mother has bought two from Rondeau. Most of the independent Volvo specialists sell a few used Volvos.
