bumper mount cost 200

I'm comsidering buying an '88 240 wagon which has the rear bumper pushed forward almost to the body sheet metal - maybe about 1.5 inches or 25-40 mm. Bumper and sheet metal look OK, and the rest of the car is quite nice.

What will a replacement mount cost me? Is R&R pretty straightforward?

Thanx

Sounds to me like it was bumped and the bumper shocks compressed, no? I would get a pair at the pick and pull and wrap up the repair for $20-25. Need to be off an 86 on, I think.

Hello,

Bumper mounts for a 240 need only to have the bolts loosened up and the whole thing withdrawn to it's normal position. The question here would be does it need simply that, or has the frame rusted out in that spot and is now pushed in. Look underneath the car and see if all appears well with the frame before buying that car.
