I had to replace the sunroof on my 87 740. Now i'm in the process of replacing the headliner,but found that the cardboard(?) where the lining is glued in is in very bad shape since it got wet often as rain water got in thru the bad seal
on the sunroof.
Questions: Where can I get a replacement part (cardboard?)?
How much would that cost me?

I would have a local upholstery shop try to fabricate a replacement rather than pay $$$ for the dealer part. If you have to go dealer, try www.borton.com

That will be a dealer part, and expen$ive. I have bought, and installed, two from the self service wrecking yard for $25 each.
