how do you like the performance and reliability of the late-model volvos? i see you have one. thought much about a late model volvo, but after i get a '93 244/245.

The S80T6 will set you back in the seat.
The only thing that I worry about is it getting away from my wife.
The handling of it is great and the twin turbo's are super.

yep, that's great--i heard a lot of good things about the turbos. i went to the local houston dealership and took a look at the turbos, even the new v50 turbo. impressive looking.

any problems with reliability? the volvo mechanic told me not to touch the timing belt for newer models; they have variable cams or something like that.

There has been only one problem with it and that was the twin water hose going to the turbo's started to leak. Took about a 1 1/2 to replace no [problem getting to it I just took my time. My self and the family went to Fla. for vacation and it did great on fuel mileage around 31.0 per gallon and then if I wanted to run 90mph on Interstate 95 with the BMW and Jags Mercedes then that was no problem either.
As far as the timing belts and other major repairs down the line then I don't worry about that either my oldes son is a Volvo Techican.
