Turbo car, but 'B230F' on engine sticker? 700 1987

My 760 turbo had the engine replaced before I bought it. I don't know where the previous owner got the engine from, but the sticker on the plastic cover on the front side of the engine says "B230F." The car has the turbo bolted to the side of the engine, but I'm wondering if the engine itself is really the turbo-charged one or the normally aspirated one. I know that the turbo engine is typically designated as "B230FT" but I recently looked in my owner's manual and saw the engine called "B230F-Turbo" or something like that. So, I'm not sure if the engine I have in there is the turbocharged one or not, even though the turbo is hooked up to it.

Does anyone know what engine I have? Also, what are the differences between the NA and Turbo engines, e.g.- sodium-coated valves or whatever, etc. Everything does appear to be hooked up and in it's place, so I'm having trouble knowing what engine I really have.

The upper cam belt cover with the engine ID sticker on it, is easily replaced if damaged. Your car may have a timing belt cover from another engine. All B230 series engines have the engine ID code and engine serial number stamped on the flat boss just below and in front of intake manifold runner number 1. Look there for the engine ID code. It should say B230FTxxxxxx... The engine in the picture is a B23FT.

Awesome! That makes so much sense, I can't believe I didn't think of that! I'll check it out when I can and report back. Thanks.

Original turbo engines also have a turbo oil supply port and a turbo oil drain port in the block.
