Car Dead 900 1994

After changing the Radio Supresent and RPM sensor seems like the fuel pump is the problem. As discovered, the '94 940's do not have a fuel pump relay. I have a Regina Ignition system, so I assume that means I have one fuel pump? Does that mean it is in the tank??

Also, for a test to see if I had any fuel pressure, I pushed in on that valve that looks like an air valve before the filter. If I had fuel pressure would gas come out that valve?

Does anyone have any pictures on how to remove the in-tank pump in a station wagon (estate)?

rgrds,
Kevin

Yes you have a FP relay. It is in with the rest of the relays, behind the fuses. It is white or dingy white, probably on the left side, second row. Click the key on and off and you can hear and feel it, maybe. And yes, you have one FP located in the tank. Check the fuse and the relay and lets hope it's not the FP.

Hello Kevin; In my 94 940 Regina the elusive pump relay is the little square blue sucker on the right hand side, first row from the front.

rdi, I apologize for providing the incorrect information on the RP relay. Thank you sumerduckman, for clarifying the relay color and location. I have heard rumors of this. This must be only on the ’94 Rex/Regina.

To the FAQ, Mr. Ringlee, if isn’t already there.
