Hi,

My 240SE 1992 absorber mounts have some hairline cracks on them, resulting
in some noise during slow turns. Should these be replaced immediately and what
brand should I go for.

They all crack. no biggie. If you have a clunk, like a spring unloading tension when backing out of a drive or slow turning, the bearing is bad. You can replace it when you do struts, no hurry. Darn Volvo mounts are the best but at a price. Some Scan tech ones are OEM, I've heard. Earlier, there were some duds provided by an asian strut mfg.
