My '90 244DL w/ auto trans refuses to shift into 4th gear. I tried switching O/D relays, but that didn't change anything. What next? Is it the transmission, or could it be the O/D solenoid? Thanks in advance!

The most likely culprit (breathe a sigh of relief) is that it is simply the wiring from the switch to the relay.

There seems to be a wiring problem with a lot of the O/D switches. I believe it had something to do with where the wires come through the shifter.. sorry I cannot be of more help but if you do a search on the subject on this board you will find numerious posts concerning the problem. It is a common one....Max
