I have a ’93 945T. I lost my front-right turn-signal lens cover over the weekend (the one over the turn signal, just to the right of the headlight).
The dealer is wanting $176 for the entire assembly, and the junk yards want $60 (since I have foglights, if I didn’t have foglights it would be $110, due to their relative rarity in the Midwest). Per the junkyard, he could only find three in a three-state area, I’m in Illinois.
Is there someplace online I can find used Volvo parts, or a junkyard somewhere where Volvos are common that I can call and order one for less?
Also, would I pick up the adhesive to reattach it at Autozone or a similar autoparts store?

I agree with Chris, get the aftermarket part. I have one, and my only complaint is that now the OEM lamp on the other side looks faded and dull compared to the new one. Here's a word of advice though: take a screwdriver and carefully pry off the cover on your old lamp, then re-glue it w/ plastic epoxy (from the hardware store). I guarantee it's hanging on by a thread.
While you're at it, do the same for the clear "reverse" lamps on the rear of the car.

That the one thing I don't like about this message board, as far as I can tell you can't have the responses listed in chronological order (posts are listed in order).
From another part of this thread:
>>>> Just a followup, I ended up ordering the lens from www.vlvworld.com, it cost something like $56 after shipping, but it was shipped from Swedish Car Parts.
It fits and looks great! It was a cinch to replace, just move a little plastic tab and the whole light assembly came out, the new one just slid and snapped right in.
Thanks for your help! <<<<
Though thanks for the advice on popping off my now old lens and reattaching it, it's something I should have thought of (if one lens falls off, chances are the glue on the other one is also ready to fail). And I agree, the new lens looks great, the OEM lens now looks old and a little faded (which it is).

The glue problem is only an issue on the clear lenses. Apparently the sun (UV rays maybe) breaks the glue down. That's why I also recommend prying off the clear lenses on the reverse lights. I replaced one a while ago, and when I checked the other, it simply pulled off with a gentle tug (bare handed).

Try eEuroparts.com. They are or at least were a sponsor here and they have free shipping over $40 I believe. Good quality parts, excellent service.

Hmm…
Thanks for the leads. Here’s what I’ve found:
FCPgroten: $50, no shipping quote until after I enter my credit card information
Swedish Car Parts: $60 (unknown shipping, I live 200 miles south so I wouldn't be stopping by to pick it up)
Vlvworld (advertised at the top of this site at times): $51.75, $5 shipping
IPD: $135 (OEM only, no aftermarket (and cheaper) parts), ~ $7 shipping
Junkyard: $60 for a used part
Dealer: ~ $180, OEM
Apparently you can't buy just the lens, so my concerns about what glue to use are moot.
Looks like I’ll be ordering from Vlvworld for this part.

You could call or e-mail FCP Groton for a shipping quote, but in my experience it's pretty cheap. I imagine it's not marked up at all.
Unlike Chris, I'd recommend staying away from the aftermarket ScamTech units. ST is legendary for their horrible quality lighting equipment.
Car-part.com turned up lamps starting at at $11 for the right side, and $25 for the left. Only 3 in the tri-state area? Bullshit.
Anyways there are other yards that aren't affiliated with car-part.com... the Volvo/Saab shop out on Recycler Road in Rancho Cordova, California comes to mind. They aren't usually the cheapest, but they're worth checking none the less.

The whole assembly is $50 at fcpgroton.com. The ones they sell are aftermarket, but they fit OK and look fine. I haven't seen problems with discoloration or anything like that. It is very common for them to fall off after a while.

If you're near Chicago, there's a store on the north side, Swedish Car Parts, that makes most of the lenses for midwest dealers and most of the lenses on eBay. They're manufactured in Europe and the fit is excellent, prices about half OEM.
