sourcing 240 floor panels

One of the projects I have ahead of me is new floor panels for the driver's side of my 1978 242. I know I will need the front and back panels plus the cross brace. Does anyone know of any third party sources for these parts or do I have to go back to Volvo to get them?

If you're handy with a drill, saws-all, and mig welder, you may want to find a good late model wreck with no floorpan rust, drill out the spot welds to remove the cross brace, and cut out the floor pan panels you need. That will be MUCH less expensive than new stampings. I've done a lot of floorpan patching over the past year and I'm convinced that welding is the safest and longest-lived fix. My research group and I have disassembled entire vehicles by drilling out the welds. The method is a little time consuming, but it works very well.

I know Nova Scotia is a long way from Louisville, Kentucky, but I have a '91 244 parts car that has a pristine underbody if you want to give it a try.

I'm a lot closer and I might just take you up on that... but I bet there are a few folks in NS who could use it too.
My 87 is gonna need a rocker and a bit of floor work this year, right side. It needs to stay on the road to see 400,000 miles and it's only at 233K.

Rob - If you think you might want it, let me know and we'll set a time. I think the RS rocker is in good shape but I'll check to be sure. I plan to finish stripping the car and scrap it some time around Thanksgiving.
