Changing Timing belt on 2.9 liter 6 cyl 900 1993

I'm getting to the point that I need to replace the cam belt on my 2.9 Liter. I've looked for a manual but haven't been able to locate one. Anybody have any ideas? Is there a site where I can download the proceedure?

Thanks Peter

Just did my timing belt yesterday. It was a breeze using info from the site. A/C compressor was a pain though. Paul

The procedure is in the FAQ's, as well I'll send you a PM with a detailed procedure that I wrote up. Between the two procedures and all the great experience on this list, you should have no problem.

Dear Peter,

Good p.m., may this find you well, and Congratulations!!

You've come to the right place. See:

http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/EngineSealsBeltsVent.htm#960SerpentineBeltInstallation

However, if the serpentine belt is the one you want to change (as opposed to the timing belt), I think you'll find what you need under the FAQs, under FEATURES, above.

If you want Volvo service manuals, you can get them at www.volvotechinfo.com.

If you need parts, consult Nick Bauer at www.fcpgroton.com. He's very knowledgeable, nice, and customer-oriented.

Hope this helps. If you run into a snag, post back: one of the Board's 960 experts will surely ride to your aid.

Yours faithfully,

spook
