New timing belt arrived in the mail 3 hours after the old one sheared some teeth. Is the turbo engine an inteference engine?

Even if the regular engine were, which it isn't in the US market, the FT would likely still not be- it has lower compression than the NA engine.

You'll be just fine- new belt and you'll be on your way. You do want to check that the cam turns freely- once in a long while these engines will seize cams, though I've never seen a late-model one do it.
