850 SW TNANS

I HAVE A 95" 850 WITH WINTER CONTROL SWITCH ON THE TRANSMISSION. THE LIGHT ON THE SWITCH IS BLINKING AND THE CAR TAKES OFF LIKE SOMETHING IS HOLDING IT BACK. WHAT GOING ON IS THE TRANS BAD, OR IS IT SOMETHING MINON THAT I CAN DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.HELPPPPP!!!

You will have better luck if you post this on the FWD AWD board. This board is for the older rear wheel drive cars.

Your car is stuck in the winter mode meaning that it starts out in second gear. This is to help prevent the wheels from spinning as you take off from a stop. If the switch is not on, I believe that it may be related to a faulty PNP switch - Park,neutral position.

You found the right site if you want info on Volvos, but post your message on the FWD board and get confirmation. By the way, save yourself some grief by turning off the capital letters - all caps is considered shouting by most.
