Headlight Adjusting 200

I replaced my headlights and need to adjust them. What is the best way to do this? I currently live in an area that does not require headlight aligning and not one shop has an aligning machine. What should I do to adjust them? When against a wall, how high should the beam be from the ground? How far should the bright areas of the beam be apart from each other?

I would appreciate your help on this one. Thank you.

Marco

Headlight Adjusting 200

My simple method is to put my other car in the car port and shine its headlights on the garage door. I then mark the door where the lights are brightest and centered.

I then take the car with the maladjusted headlights, stop it the same distance from the garage door as the previous car, and set the lights by using the pencil marks on the garage door.

Take a look at this website:

I found it to be quite useful when I had to adjust mine. Hope it helps.
