fine eBay item---It's GONE!! 200

I've been seeing them and wondering how long they could keep that up.
I notice that when I tried to go to the URL I got an "invalid item"
message. Maybe somebody nailed them. If I find any more of their ads
I might check their feedback to see if there are "satisfied customers".

Funny, the seller had a different name before ...

Personally, I don't give a crap about the plastic box with a pot ... I just want to know what Volvo 240 puts out 206 hp, but just a piddly 182.3 ft.lbs.

Idiots.

At least it appears that many ebay bidders know now, what with many of 'em already having been ripped off by the 5-cent resistor trick already. I didn't see any bids on the few pages I perused.

I kind of like the pic showing the "baseline hp" at 206 in an auction for something for a 240, I want the base, to heck with the snake oil.

PT Barnum was right - there's a sucker born every minute and that's the reason for stuff like this.

From the description it alters the voltage signal to the ECU from the Intake Air Temperature sensor. Volvos don't have one - at least not on 240's, so it's worthless. It is probably just a variable resistor. It makes the air temp look lower than it is, possibly causing the ECU to richen the fuel mixture slightly. Just my guess. Their comment about it being completely legal is bogus - they do not identify a CARB EO number; without that it is illegal in California and maybe everywhere. From the fuzzy picture it looks like it might cost about $10 to make with Radio Shlock parts.
