I checked a few posts on this problem but I would like a few more inputs before I go and do something irrversible. On my 89 240 auto tranny I am getting pressure from the gas tank when I remove the cap.. My 89 244 manuel does not do this. I replaced the cap with a new one and still the same thing. So as a last attempt I replaced the cap with the one from the other 240.. Same thing..Could I really be looking at replacing the Charcole cannister or worse??Thanks all......Max

if im not mistaken, you should have some pressure buildup in the tank (on k jet systems- thats what mine is and i always have some outgassing when opening the gas cap after driving a bit and she really runs well)
