Rear Wiper Motor - Rebuildable?

I have a 760 Turbo wagon with a burned out rear wiper motor (no doubt due to a corroded shaft). It has been inoperable since I purchased this vehicle 6 months ago. I have removed the motor and bench tested to comfirmed its dead state. I can't figure out how to disassemble this sucker. Is this motor rebuildable? If so, how can it be disassembled and what needs to be replaced? Any idea what a motor shop might charge to rebuild it (hopefully a lot less than a new or used motor)? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as winter is quickly approaching here in Michigan.

I agree with HearToTemptYou.

If it's cheap enough and readily available, get one from junkyard.

My guess is that one of the plastic gears has been stripped.

I doubt you could get individual parts for it anyway--esp if you do not see any obvious method to split the case.

If it is pop rivets, they can be drilled out and replaced with self-tapping metal screws.

Rear Wiper Motor - Rebuildable? 700

I've thought about doing similar things with the wiper motors in my 240s (both front and back), but there are so many working motors in the junk yard for usually about $10 that I've never bothered.

So, I guess I'm suggesting that if you can find a junk yard that has some 700's, I'd just yank a motor from there.

Good luck!

Take it to an auto electric shop for advice.
