Wow, haven't been here for a while! Head question 200 1982

Hey everyone,

I'm back to the board! I haven't been here in months upon months, but i have returned.
The ol' '82 242GLT has been sitting in my driveway since it broke a valve spring at the beginning of the summer. I miss the ol' girl, and the DL just isn't satisfying me. So i called the local shop to get them to look at it, and he said he has a fresh head off a B21A that he could put on. How different is this than the one on my B21E?
I'm sorry, i know this has prolly been covered before, but i couldnt see it in the search i did......

Thanks everyone, and good to see some familiar names still here!!

Hey everyone!
I took the ol' girl to the shop, mainly cuz i have no time to do anything these days. It was a broken valve spring, as i thought. It got replaced along with a new head gasket all for $150, so i'm quite happy with that. It's good to have her back!! But now.... why is it idling so bad? I'l go start another thread......

Yeah, I even made a website for the compressor. it's in my sig. You might have to make a bit more precise measurement for your specific spring that broke, but my tool does work, and saves A LOT of time over removing the head (and the $$ of putting a new one on!). If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck,

Unggthat made some posts some time back about valve spring replacement. Including tool built.

So wouldn't it be easier swithching in a spring?
