90 740 non turbo fuel pump help needed PLEASE!!!!!! 700

my latest e-bay trophy "just needed a fuel pump" but after draging it home 300 miles I found out thet the previous owner tried to butch in a chevy pump in the tank and the pump inder the floor was gone and so is the wires, after lookin at
a few other i notice that the others had wires comming thru the floor but mine
does not can any one tell me where to trace the wires to or how to find them
also which relay is the fuel pump relay? thanks

If your 740 has a Regina ignition system you only will have one fuel pump which is in the tank. See this link to determine which you have.

Going to my local Volvo dealer to buy a fuel pump, he insist that there is 2 pumps
but cant show me the wiring diagram,any thoughts

This is not an area I claim even a little expertise, but ... Volvo's green manual shows 2 pumps for all systems, including Regina. If you determine which system you have, I would be glad to eMail you the pages you need. I'm at jwsocw@earthlink.net
