Greetings! I am the proud, new owner of a 1986 Volvo 240DL and love everything about it.... except the steering wheel. I have access to a leather steering wheel from a 480, does anyone know if it will work on my 240?

Were the two cars made at the same plant? Same design engineers? Think of the reasons that would cause Volvo to want to make the fitments different. I believe there are more reasons to keep them the same.

What if you get the 480 wheel and it doesn't fit? How much money is involved, a lot? A little? Re-sell on eBay?

If it's a thing you really want, go for it.

Where in the heck did you find that? Impossible to find in the U.S.? I came across a Grant GT wheel in a second hand shop for $15 and ran home to see if the adaptor was still available online. They are no longer made, so I passed on the wheel.
