when I get on the highway, about one time a week I go to punch it and the car does not respond, the RPM'S sound to gat faster the gauge does not show the change then the car kicks up in speed the rpm's go up and stay up until I remove my foot from the gas. I have a 93 940 wagon N/A with about 192,000 miles
any ideas?

thanks in advance

Ed, that doesn't make sense. I understand engine hesitation as I have experienced it also but only from idle and not at hiway speeds. You say the engine revs go up, but the tach does not move? You'll have to be more specific.
