AMM to turbo hose FCP--Quality? 700

Local parts supplier wants $75CDN for a good used hose (I assume OEM).

FCP is $78CDN ($65USD) for aftermarket.

I've heard of some complaints about fit of the FCP hose. As long as it seals fine, I'll be happy.

Question: How's the FCP rubber quality compared to OEM.

Thanks in advance.

I put the aftermarket hose on our '91 in the summer of '03. It's still fine, no mushiness and I don't remember any problems with the fit. I like repairs like this. 10 minutes and a screwdriver and you're done.

AMM to turbo hose FCP--Quality? 700

I just replaced the intercooler to throttle body hose with one from FCP. If I remember the cost from FCP was about $27.00. The FCP hose is far heavier that the OEM which lasted me about two years. The FCP hose is much thicker and should last much longer. By the way it was a small pencil size hole in the OEM hose that almost stranded me on the side of the road. I struggled home after plugging the hole. The Bosch +4 Platinum plugs were fouled with carbon beyond cleaning because of their design. I will never again waste money on plugs that cannot be cleaned.

FCP carries the OEM and Aftermarket AMM to Turbo hose you need. If it were me, I would spend the extra 50-60 US dollars and get the OEM turbo hose from FCP. The hose will last at least 10 years and it fits perfectly. FCP prices on OEM hose is still way cheaper than dealer.

Other here have used the aftermarket hose but like you said they did complain about fit and the product has not been out long eneough to determine or compare useful life.
