I currently have a interstate in my 88 244, and I need to get a battery for my 83 244 Turbo. I have found that I can get an interstate for that car for about $70. Is this the best way to go? Thank's and happy bricking.

I use the same battery on all of my 2 and 7 series cars.

Though I feel dumb for not recalling the brand name, it's the only 900 & 1100 CCA battery sold by NAPA that will fit. It's definately rated higher than needed, but I like the security. The main reason for it is that I'm constantly jumping other vehicles ("hey can you come see what's wrong with my car?").

Often I've had to jump my rig off (kenworth). You should see the funny looks when I pull my Volvo beside the truck and grab the cables!

If I were looking for a listed replacement (what you're after), I'd look to Interstate or Die Hard.

Been using Interstates for a number of years, with good results.

I've used Interstates in all my cars and they seem to be good and strong. I think the later car takes the MT-47. The 240 battery terminals swap sides between 1986 and 1987, so make sure you're getting the right one.

I have had good luck with Interstate and Sears Die Hard batteries.
