Blue Nitrile Disposable GLOVES 900

I've used these medical grade gloves for the past couple of years. They are fantastic. They are resistant to cuts and tears, keep your hands totally clean, and the tactile response is almost as good as working with your bare hands.

If anyone has not used these, you need to get a box. They are FAR superior to latex (which rip far too easily to be of use).

The reason they are far superior to latex, IMO, is their superior chemical resistance--namely to solvents.

Trying using latex in paint thinner and see what happens. Although nitrile is not designed for long term exposure to paint thinner, varsol etc, it will withstand a few mins no problem.

I've used them for years too ... very handy.

BTW, in Canada, I've bought them at Acklands for ~$15 per box.

Been buying them at Harbor Freight Tools for years, they are GREAT. A box of 100, on sale to attract customers, is $7.99, but they are available at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. I changed trailing arm bushings on a 240 and only used one pair !!!

Usually use two pairs for changing oil, out of convenience. Also great around home for insecticide, fertilizer, painting, caulking, solvents, etc...even use under leather gloves when using chain saw, axe, or heavy yard work. Try rubbing some vaseline onto your hands first, and when you take off the gloves your hands are clean AND soft, sure to please Mrs Claus :)

Merry Christmas all

I know I am replying to my own message, but if you don't have these, you REALLY need to get some......do a search on Google. They are widely available.

OK. What sort of store sells them?? 900

Most anyplace that sells disposable gloves has nitrile gloves (at least around here). Locally I've sourced gloves from CarQuest. For mail order I've bought (and been quite pleased with the service) from Conney Safety (mentioned in the FAQ).

Of course if you buy in bulk you can significantly reduce your cost per glove.

Most any large pharmacy or hospital supply store, or if you're lucky, a supply closet at your hospital
; >). We know them as "Purple Nitrile" gloves. And they are all those things,

Any farm or vet supply store has them in boxes of 100 for about $12. They are fantastic: I use nothing else.

About 5 years ago, I bought 2 gross pairs (288 pairs) for $20 delivered.

eBay, of course.

A friend of mine was able to order 1000 (10 boxes of 100ea) for roughly $50 + shipping. No need to deal with eBay for a reasonable price.
