love Bentley manual for 240; best manual for 940? 900

For my 240, I had a Haynes manual, but have hardly looked at it since I got my Bentley manual.

I just purchased a 940 Turbo. What's the consensus on a manual for it? I'm hoping to find an overall manual, and assuming at this point, it'll probably be the Haynes.

I'm sure the Volvo & Bosch manuals are the best, but I'm not sure I'll be able to find (or afford) all of them. If I go this route, what would be the best ones to have to cover items different from the 240?

(Sorry if there's duplicate posts; I posted with "ALL" forums selected, and it doesn't show in 900 or 200).

The Bentley covers the drivetrain pretty well; the 940 is very similar.
I'd recommend the green wiring diagrams manual even if you buy the UK Haines.
The specifications greenie is handy, too.

Nothing aftermarket out there that even comes close to the quality of the Bentley 240 for the 900 series.

The UK version of the Haynes (hard cover, IPD has it, I think) is good enough to get most things done if you are already knowledgeable in the field, but it lacks detail which can be frustrating at times. It also was obviously written by a number of different authors (of different capabilities) since different sections are written in different formats (i.e. one section refers torque specs in a table you need to search out while another gives the specs embedded in the reinstallation text). There is a lack of continuity in how things are presented, yet, it is the best aftermarket one out there IMHO.

The Volvo factory manuals are the best if you can afford them, I have held off so far and would not hesitate to tear down the engine using only the Haynes. A complete tranny teardown would be a different story and would probably prompt me to go Volvo manuals/CDs.
