This car has turned up at a local car dealership.

It's a 66 or 67 122 sedan. Think it's a 2 door, it's in the back lot.

Looked very clean for rust and body damage on my quick observation of it. Heard more about it from another car dealer.

Reportedly it's an abandoned car, dunno why they got it or why it was towed away. This place does a lot of city authorized towing.

The car is worth saving and could be real nice. It's a funny light yellow color. Reportedly they want under $500 for it!

Went and looked at the car today.
No one seems to know if it's a 65, 66, or 67. It's actually a 4 door. It is a yellow/beige color. The car is incredibly solid. There is a minor rust hole in the inner fender by the right hood hinge. Left side has been fixed correctly with flat sheetmetal.

The car is an automatic!!! Column shifter! How strange- never seen one. Was a running driving car before the owner was arrested for illegal registration.

The shop suggested $500 for the storage fees. Columbus Sq is located just off Bank Street in New London. Their address is actually Blinman St, which is hard to find.

If you drive through downtown New London, the shop is at a big traffic island at Bank and Howard Streets. Their trademark black and green trucks are very visible in that area.

I went to see it on Friday night. I wish I didn't have a 122 in the garage right now that I've been re-welding for the past 3 years. I have too much money sunk into this one right now to just let it go. I'm also relocating to Maryland with in the next two months, so that will make another car difficult to own. The battery was still charged and she looked like she would fire right up. Heck I might try to get it and throw a set of temp plates on it. I could drive her for a while and slowly fix er up. The Automatic 122's are known DOGS!!! So slow!

I'm curious about the conditon of the body. Rust? floors? interior? Long drive from NYC to check it out.

It is a good one, isn't it? Yeah the autobox is one of the things keeping me from jumping on it. The 4 projects filling my garages and driveway are the other factors... and my wife's car isn't done yet either, so guess what takes priority!
