I have an intermittent ignition problem with my 88 240. I have ignition modules I saved from an 82 and an 86. Can I put one of these in to see if it fixes the problem? How do you tell the interchancability of the modules?

I had this problem with my '81, and a brickboarder with username Evan R supplied me with a used one very affordably. You can do a search on this site for some of his posts and send him a message.

He will want to know the part number on the module, which should be easy to find marked, imprinted or molded into the part itself. Good luck!
