Water in intercooler

I have a 1983 Volvo turbo that I'm working on. The car has been sitting for about seven months. I took out the intercooler and found that there was water in it. What does this mean? Where would it have come from and why is it in there?
Thanks for any information and happy bricking.

Water in intercooler

I don't have direct experience with this but I can imagine the following:

Hot intake air (possibly exasperated by stuck air control door) which contains more moisture hits the cold intercooler and condenses.
