Motor Mounts 200

Trying to change motor mounts on 1984 240GL. I can get to passenger side ok. Driver side is different story. Removed top nut on pass side mount. Drivers side removed the three nuts that hold mount to frame. Used a floor jack to lift engine, but need at least another half inch. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks Roy

It's a whole lot easier if you unbolt the upper mount from the engine then remove the rubber while the mount is out. If you don't have a big vixe to hold the mount the upper nut should be loose before taking it out of the car.
