Fan Works in High Only 900

I believe it's the resistor pack. My fan only works in high or #5 speed. If so, where is it located on a '92 940GL NA? And where can I get one?

Hi there.
I am not sure if i am talking about the right part that you need but you can give it a try.Take out the passenger side kick panel under the glove box.There would be a big plastic black housing for the fan blower,you will see wires connected to a part bolted with 2 (8 or 7 mm)if memory serves.I dont know if this is what you are looking for but you can give it a try :).

I don't think there is a resistor pack. I believe everything is handled by the switch. The resistor pack is inside the switch. You can take the switch apart and check it out. Common failure on the 940s cheap switch design with a not so cheap price. You can get the switch from a Pick N Pull.

Depending on how hard it is to remove, it may or may not be worth it to buy used from a junkyard.

fcpgroton.com seems to have good prices.
