*&#*@ Blower motor!!!!!!!! 140-160

I got to R&R the blower motor in my 145 today out in the unheatted garage today. 18 degrees F!
I would like to hang the Sweed that designed that set up.

Did you consider disassembling the motor, measuring and replacing the bearings? Has anyone else done it or is planning to? I am planning to replace my cracked dash with a mint one, a logical time to do the blower motor work.
You can get bearings at Granger.com
I have been without a functional motor for years, driving around with your window down as a defroster in the winter really toughens you up for those cold workouts in the unheated garage.

The worst thing was, I didn't even have a new B.motor. All I could do was lube it with some LPS! 140-160

What is LPS? And what year is yours? I think 72 and earlier is probably
somewhat easier (not "easy", just easier).

Whatever you do, don't lube with any "penetrating" lubricant because they all
contain a solvent that evaporates, leaving the lube thick and gummy. Use plain
light oil (3 in one, etc)

LPS.. light penetrating solvent? Says LPS on the can I spray it on my Bridgeport so it won't rust. Doesn't evaporate. 140-160
