How do you install a left front corner turn signal lense? Mine is yellow and white (clear). Just the lense on mine is broken. Thanks.

Hi Susan,

I'll start again with this question. Is this the light at the side of the car (Yellow/White) or the one under the headlights?

If it is at the side, it is a marker/park lamp and is secured with a single 10mm nut from behind

If it is the long clear lens under the headlight, it is the turn signal and it is secured by two nuts

I can send a digital picture of the nut locations if you wish. What lights are you changing or is it both?

Greg

Hi Susan,

As noted in the other post there are quite a few sources for the whole assembly. On-line auctions and wreckers can also be a good source.

The assembly is removed with a deep 10mm socket from behind. Simply 'turn out' the bulb holder and take off those nuts to free the entire thing.

Good Luck!

Greg

(if you buy a used one, check that the glue holding the lens on the assemply looks good, if not re-glue it before putting it in as it might simply fall out on you!)

I replaced my right one. You just open up the hood. Remove bulb.
There is a piece of plastic that clips the whole assembly in place. You might need something to pry it open a bit. The whole assembly will fall out in you hand. It was very easy. One of the easiest things I fixed on this unit. Good luck.. PS A new one costs I think around $50.00 at Volvoworld.com . It is very easy to reinstall.

Aren't there screws that have to be removed, I can't tell what is bolted to what.

Oops, I was describing the Corner Parking Light (not turn signal)

To check this I have a complete passenger assembly in hand here (including the bulbs, bulb holder, bezel etc.) I pulled this from a wrecker and took the whole thing as one of the two nuts on the lens was turning the whole bolt where it attaches to the light assemply. I remember it was a bit awkward getting at all the nuts.

There are only two nuts holding it on though (I'll get back at this when things warm up here, -27C this AM)

Greg

I would appreceiate knowing how many bolts/screws you have to remove, I can't tell what is bolted to what. Do you think there would be issues with after market lenses fitting the car. I bought tail gate struts from FPGroton, they were the right ones but didn't fit very well, had to return them. And is it possible to replace just the lens or do you have to replace the whole thing socket, etc.

You will need to buy the complete lamp assembly.
They can be bought from many suppliers that advertise on this site.

By complete, do you mean the bulb and socket?
