Son's 88 245 DL... brakes pulsate and grab uneven, suggesting a warped brake rotor. Pulsating is not felt in brake pedal. Now we must figure out which rotor it is.

I seem to remember a rule of thumb that says when the brake pedal pulsates along with uneven braking, it is the front brakes that need attention. When the pedal does not pulsate, it is likely the rear rotors that are warped.

Can anyone confirm?

If you feel the pulsation through the steering wheel, it's the front; if you feel it through the seat, it's the rear.
