I purchased a new mast, could not get the track to engage, so I took the motor reel apart and found 4 ft of old track wound inside the plastic housing. The trouble now is I have four loose washers. Is the correct assembly a flat washer and a cone washer on each side of the interior spool to keep it spaced away from the drive gear and the outer housing?
Still can't get the track down the tube, stops about 14" at the first bend, maybe full of ?. I'll take it apart and thaw/blow/flush/ream in that order.

I am having a vocabulary problem, my descriptions don't seem to parallel yours. I'm removing going to remove the whole ant assembly and look at it closely on the bench (kitchen table). If I have any extra parts I'll let you know. thanks

Hello

If this is the black plastic body antenna, then the very thin washers, maybe two go at the very bottom of the shaft and the other two thin ones at the top of the assembly, just below the circlip. The toothed track installation is made much easier, with the cover still removed. Below the motor is a drive gear. Remove it. Feed the toothed track down between the nylon pulley and the big center Wheel, about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way, then put the hollow cap over the top of the captured toothed track, put the drive gear back it, etc.
