Resurface the flywheel ?? 140-160

Now that I have all the parts I'm about to start my Auto to manual swap on my 164. I got a new clutch, pressure plate, release bearing, and pilot bearing. I was wondering about getting the flywheel resurfaced. It's not scored but there are some small ridges. Does getting the flywheel resurfaced help the clutch work better ?

I highly recommend it. On the few clutches that I've skipped this step, they were always shuddery in first gear. $20 to save years of frustrating first gear starts. Well worth it.

Ken. Flywheels wear concave towards the retaining bolts where there is more support. Your clutch warranty will be null and void if not resurfaced. Regards Jack mcintyre.

If you have the flywheel out, resurface it; yes, it makes the clutch work better.

Not sure if having the flywheel resurfaced would help the clutch work better. Seems that it would, especially with a shuddering in first gear when letting the clutch out and starting to move.
It certainly would lengthen the life of the clutch. The resurfaced flywheel would not chew up the material (I think it's asbestos) on the clutch pad so fast.
Had mine resurfaced a short while ago. Cost about $20.
