940 shiftlock problem 900

Mystery! Tranny is stuck in park. Shiftlock release button is a no response.
My 240s and 740s had no release button(and no problem).
Just bought this car. Can someone tell me how to get it out of park.

    Yes, engine running, foot on brake, hold large release button back normally.
    It doesn;t release. Even pushing the small shiftlock release rectangular button
    give no release.

      in the 700/900 FAQ. Is probably a bad switch or solenoid. Lots of other great info in the 700/900 FAQ also. Good luck!

    The key has to be in, and turned to positionII, and your foot has to be on the brake.
