960 Radio Wiring 900

Well, things must have been going too good, because yesterday while at work someone made off with about $2.5K worth of stereo equipment out of my '92 965. In the process, they really did a number on the wiring to the head unit and I can't really discern what's what in there.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the radio wiring in a '92 965? It originally came with the CR-814 cassette radio. Really all I need is someone to tell me:

1) which of the mangled mass of wires sticking out of what used to be my center console are for the radio?

2) of those wires, some way to decipher the color-coding

Thanks in advance!

Rho on my 940 diagram means Rheostat. Those wires come from the dimmer control to dim the radio lights too.

On a 240 radio I recently put in, there is also a wire that signifies "Headlights On". Until this wire is active, the Rho wires have no effect and the radios's lights stay normal.

I don't see a similar set-up on the 940 diagram, though.

That's my total radio knowledge.

That's a good question, I'm not sure what it stands for. When I installed my aftermarket radio I used a harness so I didn't actually use this wiring diagram.

Thanks, this should really help this weekend when I tackle putting everything back together.

As for what they got... Alpine CD/MP3 head unit (60WX4), Alpine 50WX4 amp, 2 Alpine 300WX1 subwoofer amps, two 12" MTX Thunder subwoofers with custom enclosures, 2 Polk ES 5.25" two-way door speakers, 2 Polk ES 5.25" component speakers (they didn't get the tweeters buried in the dash though), XM Satelite tuner, ~150 CDs

I'm most upset about the CDs, it was a collection I've been building since middle school and contained a lot of gifts, mixes from my fiance and other unreplaceable items

Bummer. I may have the 92 CD at home, but if not, my son does. I'll look for it tonight.
