polyurethane alternator bushings 200

To elucidate a point alluded to in an earlier and now buried post. Aren't the IPD polly bushings the same brand as the FCP poly bushings? If not, are the IPD ones of better quality? What's your experience been? My alternator is sitting at a 15 degree angle!!! from the rest of my belts, I probably need to fix that....... Maybe I'm confusing the same brand thing about the poly bushings with the sway bar bushings that both IPD and FCP offers.

Thanks Kane and Mike. Golly, you'd think there'd be a standard on what passes for polyurethane. I'll go with the IPD, I think they're only like 7 bucks a piece. I'm gonna replace all the belts and the timing belt as well as the accesory bushings. I'd hate to do this twice, thanks for the advice.

Don't get me wrong, I like FCP and have bought several parts from them for my '88 240. However, I couldn't reccomend their poly bushings for the PS pump, alternator, and ac compressor. These things deform almost immediately (a few weeks). I would reccomend getting the rubber ones (what I eventually ended up doing), or getting the IPD ones(which I have heard good things about).
The poly SUSPENSION bushings, at least for the rear, are the same as IPD (they are SuperPro), with the exception of the torque arm bushings.

Mike

Not the same. I have the iPd bushings ... no probs. I think some have reported sloppiness with the FCP ones.
