Was this the best buy? 140-160 1974

I just bought a re-ring set from IPD for a b20 for $194 (and a bronze cam retainer for $22), which I think is a decent deal, if it comes with front and rear seals and water pump seals in the gasket set. Best I could do piecewise was about $55 for rings, $30 for rod bearings, and $150+ for complete gasket set.

Do I need to measure for ring thicknesses on an 8-bolt b20, stock bore?

Has anybody used this kit?

I was going to suggest that IPD could answer questions about what they
furnish. (Guess they beat me to it!)

    140 Piston rings sizing 140-160 1974

Hi there, just sent you a couple of e-mails, and now realize that a good part of your inquiry is related to the THICKNESS of the top ring.

The rings that we have for you are 1.75mm thick, and intended for 1974-74 B20s with the 8-bolt crank. You can contact me directly at:

    jerrad@ipdusa.com

    Have a good one!
