How do I remove the bottome seat springs?

I have a set of 240 seats that have nice leather. There is one cracked bracket that is going to require that I remove the under the bottom seat springs to remove the bracket to replace it. The springs seem pretty firm and I'm at a loss as to how to remove them. Thanks and happy bricking.

Those springs are pretty strong. I removed and replaced mine as follows:

1. Get the biggest slip joint pliers you can or a brake spring pliers.
2. Decide where you can anchor the pliers opposite the row of springs on the other side of the seat.
3. Bend a length of coat hanger wire so that it will hook on the fully opened jaw of the pliers and then reach to hook on the spring.
4. Then hook the pliers and spring, close the pliers, and guide the spring off of the wire grid. Sometimes a small screwdriver helps in moving the loop on the spring off the grid.

You can put the springs back on this way too but it ain't easy.
