In general, yes; some won't fit 700s with 11.25 inch front brakes(ABS).

To further comment, if your 7-series has the smaller 10-1/4" brake rotors up front, then 240 wheels will fit.

If you have the larger 11" or 11-1/4" rotors, no, they will not - they are too big to clear any 14" wheel. Virgos manufactured prior to 1987 will not clear either because of its design.

On my 1986 740 with no ABS the virgo alloys fitted no problem. I asked on here if they would fit. (Thanks) I am really happy with them. The tyre size as reccomended on here that I had fitted is 195/65/R15. KYLE123 (James)
