Ught-O...nasty hiss from underneath (91 744ti SE) 700

Pulled my 744ti out of the garage yesterday. It's been there for almost 2.5 years now, having only been out once in late-summer of 2004.

Let it idle for about 15 minutes, before taking it down the side street and all seemed well. Did notice what might be a bit more noise from the main fuel pump while idling, but it's been so long I'm not really sure. Made it to the turn around and on the way back up I tried to boost it a bit. As soon as I did I lost power and started to hear a nasty hissing sound coming from underneath it. I barely made it to my drive, and as I did I clutched it and it stalled.

Checked it out, no visible problems on the hoses. After letting it sit for a bit, I started it again and the sound is still there. There's a lack of power too. No visible smoke at any time.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem? Right now money is an issue, so trying to fix it for the least amount of $$$ is highly important. Thanks in advance.

You have popped one of your turbo hoses off or it has rotted through. Take a good look at them again and if you cannot find it have some one power brake it in reverse and it should make the hissing noise. Once it is making the noise it should not be too hard to find. Take a good look at the bottom of the inlet hose for the turbo, they rot away on the bottom where it plugs onto the turbo.
