Very Strange Amazons on eBay 120-130

For any of you in Pennsylvania, this person has an Amazon Pickup. To me it looks as if someone cut the top off of a Wagon and turned into a pickup-looking thing.

This one is a home-made convertable...

Death traps, both of them. All supports are gone and the "topless" will break in two. Very bad,

I agree. You don't muck with a unibody frame unless you want "flexibility" in places it where it was not before.

Unless you have the engineering and constructional ability to do proper
reinforcement. And it would certainly "show" if it had adequate reinforcement.

in that regard, the conversion job of the wagon looked pretty good. I have seen a few contemporary vans done that way. I am, however, afraid of that convertable, lack of rust does not equal good engineering.

Cool... I've thought extensively about doing both such projects. Especially the wagon pickup. Of course, both them cars are pretty much wrecked, but what the heck.

My brother and I were bored one night some time ago and cut the top off a 544. What fun was had in that car... Of course, without the proper reinforcments, you couldn't use the doors... car would sag too much when you got in and you couldn't close 'em.

I guess the statement in the 'convertible' add: "Needs Body Work" refers to that very same problem...

cheers!
