Injector Resistor 700 1990

1990 740GL 2.3L Non Turbo

I have taken the injectors out for cleaning on the bench. I kluged together an injector cleaner to force the cleaner through the injectors under pressure and have used it in the past. I hook the injector up to a battery through a resister to actuate the injector during the cleaning process. My problem is that I can't find any of my old notes and I can't remember what value of resistor to put in series with the injector so that I don't burn the brains out of the injector. I have searched until I am blue in the face and can't find anything on the forum or the Internet. The injector DC resistance is 16 ohms. Anybody out there know either what the current draw of the injector is or what current limit resistor value I should put in series with the injector.

Thanks in advance.
Guy P.

Injector Resistor 700 1990

I don't think you need any resistor for your non-turbo injectors.

My '93 940 wiring diagram manual has the LH 2.4 wiring for both Turbo and N/A. The N/A shows full voltage from the radio interference suppression relay straight to the injectors.
The Turbo LH 2.4 diagram shows a resistor pack inline with the injectors.
