I installed an extra foglight switch and wish to direct wire my condenser fan.
I ran the wires to the fan through the firewall and need a source for a hot wire.
I would like it to be hot only when the ignition is switched on so I could not inadvertantly leave it on and run down the battery. I assume using the + position
on the switch would be the one to use for the hot wire.
Can someone who has done this tell me exactly how they selected a hot source and how they connected it? I could run a wire to the fuse holder or just tap something that is currently near the headlight switch panel and piggyback on that fuse.
Does it matter what direction the fan spins (pulling air towards the condenser or pushing it away)?
I am hoping to get a colder temp at vents when idling or stop and go.
Once moving the A/C retrofit works fine.
Thanks for your expertise.
