hello! Question? When you guys refer to power stage are you refering to the ignition coil or something else? 900 1994

Im still trying to get my car to run for more than 15 min. changed fuel filter, check soldered and changed relays, No DICE! No error codes! Even glue the flapper in the air box to fresh side since it was stuck, Plus I live in south FLorida! It just konks out itll run fine and the kapoot! I ran the car with the gas cap off, checked fuel flow after changing filter checked all the wires I can find! Although, it has to do with heat cause itll run fine and once its warm it dies!
Please help Im trying everything!
Thanks in advance
fred

Did you check the AMM? Pull the plug, putting it in limp home mode and see if it still dies. If it runs better and doesn't die then it is the AMM that is bad.

Have you checked the Coolant Temperature sensor under the manifold? It tells the ECU how much to adapt the fuelo to the engine temp. If it is bad, the car will either run very rich when warm or won't run. There is a good detail in the 700/900 faqs on the method to use.

The power stage is what actully fires the coil (or may fail to). The timing is controlled by the Ignition CU.

You can see where it lives in this picture.

Fred, have you figured out if you have an LH injected car or if it is Regina/Rex. If it is Regina/Rex then there will be no power stage like on an LH car. The "power amplifier/ignition coil" as it is referred to in the book is a one piece unit that does both the jobs of the coil and the primary trigger device for the coil. Even in California where we have little to no Regina cars to speak of I have replaced one or two or those modules. Figure out which system you have and go from there.

Are You Sure? 900 1994

He has a 940 non-turbo and lives in Florida. Plus I believe he said it's a single pump system in an earlier thread. Sounds like a shoe-in for a Regina to me?

Thanks, I did not want to spend my day reading The Saga of Fred's Car to figure that one out. He should have no problems then finding that power stage with the provided pic.
