Driver's Side Window Falling out of Track 200 1989

As the title says, my window falls out of the foward section of the track when you crank the window down...sometimes.

After resetting it in the track...I have to unattach the regulator, I cannot manipulate the window with my hands to get it out of the track.

I have to be missing something obvious.

With the doorpanel off, you will see four 10mm bolts. The holes they are in, are elongated to allow the window to be adjusted forward and backward in it's tracks.

You may need to slide the window forward. Loosen the bolts, slide the window to where you think it should be,roll the window up and down to make sure it isn't binding, then tighten it down.

Check the rubber track that the window travels up and down in at the front of the window. On my 240 the rubber was split and you can only see it when the window is down and the door panel off. I found that the window hid the split pretty well as the window moves up and down. I repaired the problem by applying rubber contact cement into the track and pressing the rubber track guide into the metal track. It has been 2 years and no problem since.
