1989 245 Ball Joint Question

Hi
Is it a must that the pads and rotors come off when replacing the ball joints or can this process be circumvented with a good jack or stand? All help is greatly appreciated. thanks
Chip

    1989 245 Ball Joint Question

    Chip,

Did the ball joints and tie-rod ends a couple of weeks ago. Pulled the wheels, but left the brakes in place. Had the car on a lift, but could have done the same with jack stands (I have in the past).

    Good luck,

    Steve A-
