window washer nozzels plugged up 700 1990

I have a 1990 740 station wagon. Seems like my windshield window washer nozzles are plugged up. Have put wires thru them to unplug them, but doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?????

Limeaway will just eat out the cheap diaphragm. You can use a simple T but your squirters will dribble when the washer quits and leave tracks on your hood. Use an inline fuel filter or washer filter (3-4 bux at volvo dealer).

I bought a pair of new ones from FCP Groton for abut $5.00/ea, Shipping should be pretty cheap.

try compressed air hooked up to the line where the T goes. disconnect each one and blow it out. if that doesn't work, just replace them, and splice in an inline filter. i was lazy and just cut the rubber line before the T, went to autozone, got the smallest fuel filter they had available, and stuck the rubber lines onto each end of the fuel filter. the nozzles haven't clogged ever again since. the filters run about $2.

I think in '92 volvo added the filter to 740's. The nozzles can still become obstructed by wax. I've taken mine off and soaked them to clean them out (of wax).

T-fitting under the hood, it may be clogged. Soak in Lime-away. Don't overdue the soak.

I had one of mine break off on my wagon. I went to Pep Boy's and bought a universal relacement set for $15.00 or so, they also have built in L.E.D.s in case you wanna wire 'em up and be cool.

replace, check the hoses up to them, but if they are clear to there
you'll be buying plastic at the dealer.
